ARCAPEEL PROTECT’O
DEFINITION:
A water based, temporary protective coating, designed to protect a wide range of material supports (metal, wood, plastic etc.)
Efficiency againt corrosion
USES:
ARCAPEEL PROTECT’O is designed to protect all material supports against chemical agents and physical strain during storage, transport or handling. Excellent adhesion to a large number of material supports. ARCAPEEL PROTECT’O is highly resistant and peels off easily and cleanly thanks to the thickness of the film, leaving the support intact.
Its consistence allows application on all types of surfaces in thick resistant coats. The film will maintain initial characteristics under normal conditions, even if the temperature fluctuates wildly (-20°C to +40°C). ARCAPEEL PROTECT’O is weather resistant in outdoor conditions. The product in its liquid phase is treated against corrosion (avoids flash rusting).
Technical characteristics:
r Presentation: Clear or tinted r Thinner: water r Density at 20°C: 1+/-0.05 r Dry extract: 30% r Drying time at 20°C: approximately 4 hours depending on the thickness of the film and ventilation r Coverage: 1.0 to 1.5 m² per liter in the single coat (several pass to obtain a minimum thickness of 150 to 200 µm dry film, approximately 600 to 800 µm wet film
APPLICATION:
r Material: large flat paint brush (can be supplied upon request) or spray paint - Applying a test sample is recommended. r Thinner: Ready to use r Application: in successively applied thick coat r Cleaning: with water immediately after use r Important: Wait until the product is thoroughly dry before peeling or handling.
STORAGE :
r Keep free from freezing and extreme heat
r Will keep normally 6 to 9 months in original unopened packaging.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
r Mechanical resistance:
ARCAPEEL PROTECT’O produces a highly resistant film. The application of a thick coat will render the support more resistant to shock while being handled or processed.
r Chemical resistance:
ARCAPEEL PROTECT’O is designed to withstand a long contact with solvents.
r Peeling:
ARCAPEEL PROTECT’O is easily peelable even after several months in extreme weather conditions. Our tests have been conclusive between -20°C and +40°C. The film is not sensitive to UV rays. Tinted film (providing better visibility of film applied) can be supplied.
r Application and storage:
Spray painting is recommended. The resulting film will be more uniform, stronger and easily peelable. For example, Pressure 100 to 300 bars, 15mm or 517 tip (depending on the make) in 3 to 5 successive coats, done in a one-time application (without waiting for each coat to dry between application of successive coats).
Best results are obtained using an Airless pump.
Drying time in open air conditions is from 4 to 6 hours at 20°C for a thickness of 150 to 200 microns. Forced drying (in an air oven) is possible (approximately 30 minutes at 60°C for a thick coating).
ARCAPEEL PROTECT’O must be stored at a temperature superior to 5°C.
